Deadline: 1 Feb 2017
ISPG is proud to announce the collaboration with AAPG Asia Pacific to conduct 2-days Geoscience Technology Workshop (GTW) on 13-14 September 2017 in Bandung, Indonesia.
The theme of the GTW is Hidden Potential in Mature Basins: Play Analogs and Best Practices.
Headed by a steering committee comprised of Syamsu Alam, Upstream Director, Pertamina, Noor Syarifuddin, Vice President Geoscience & Reservoir, Total Indonesia and Rovicky Dwi Putrohari, Vice President, Saka Energy, the technical committee is planning a strong program to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration to understand the challenges of exploring mature basins.
Many basins were considered mature and the industry tends to leave them because there is no significant hydrocarbon accumulation anymore. The question is whether the basins have been evaluated thoroughly by integrating existing data and / or acquiring new data with leading edge technology. During the current challenges, companies may not take big risks in entering frontier projects. The technical teams are encouraged to think beyond and find new stuff in mature basins, which is probably a better effort for now.
Who should attend?
Geoscientists who are working in mature basins and near field exploration are welcome to attend this meeting to learn what other people do. You are encouraged to share specific problems you face on your project, and you may come across ideas and solutions. Engineers who are working on well design and reservoirs will also benefit from the technical sharing session. It is an opportunity to test ideas and gain knowledge from others.
You are highly encouraged to submit an abstract regarding the topic at 1 February 2017 at the latest. Download the abstract instruction details here.
Sponsorship opportunities are available to enhance your corporate image in this international event. Download the sponsorship form here.
